Cookie Policy
Section 01
How we are doing things
Effective date: September 20, 2026
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. The Radical Commons stores only what is strictly necessary to run the site. Nothing is used to track you across other websites.
This policy applies to the site and its subdomains, including our shop. It is operated by The Radical Commons ASBL, Rue Emile Feron 153, 1060 Saint-Gilles, Brussels, Belgium, enterprise number (BCE) 1043.203.425, in line with the Belgian Electronic Communications Act (Article 129) and the GDPR.
Section 02
Cookies we set
Cookie name 1: "sb-…-auth-token". Why? Keeps you signed in to your account. It is on until you sign out or your session expires. It is strictly necessary, first party.
Cookie name 2: "trc_consent". Why? Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner. Valid for 6 months, after which we ask again
Session storage. We also keep a flag in your browser's session storage so the intro animation plays only once per visit. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to our servers, and it disappears when you close the tab.
Strictly necessary cookies don't need your consent under EU law, because the site can't work without them. That's why we set them before you answer the banner.
Section 03
Analytics
Analytics and marketing
When/if we add audience measurement in the future, it will load only after you opt in through the cookie banner, and this page will list it first, with its name, purpose, provider, and duration.
Section 04
Third-party services
Payments are handled on Stripe's hosted checkout page, which applies Stripe's own cookie policy while you are on their site.
Signing in with Google, Facebook, or Keycloak briefly redirects you to that provider, subject to its own policy.
None of these services place cookies on The Radical Commons pages themselves.
Section 05
Managing your choice
You can review or change your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Refusing or withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and show the banner again. Blocking all cookies in your browser may stop sign-in from working.
Section 06
Contact and more information
Questions about cookies or your personal data can be sent to hello@theradicalcommons.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how to export or delete the data linked to your account, and how to complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
We may update this policy when our use of cookies changes. The effective date above shows the latest version.
